After a sell out 200-date debut tour, ‘master of one liners’ Mark Simmons is back on the road testing out new material.

Expect a night of freshly cooked one-liners, some that may never see the light of day again, from the Dave’s Joke of the Fringe Winner 2024.

Alongside are three fantastic comedians handpicked by Mark.

Mark Thomas: Ordinary Decent Criminal (work in progress)

The play follows recovering addict Frankie (played by Mark Thomas) in the years following the Strangeways Prison Riot of 1991, as he enters the brave new world of a liberal prison experiment.

The Bookshop Band

The award-winning Bookshop Band write and perform songs inspired by books.

Cafe

A pre-show social, time to relax, work, meet up with friends, or grab a change of scenery with the little ones… All great ways to spend time in our café.

We are fully licensed and serve fresh, vegetarian and locally sourced food, including vegan and gluten free options.

Spaces

The Pound offers a fully equipped auditorium seating 100 people. The seating can also be put away to create a large hall space. We have full AV capabilities and with a green room and technical booth it's the ideal place for performances, talks, conferences and classes.
